“There is a harmony in autumn, and a luster in its sky, which through the summer is not heard or seen, as if it could not be, as if it had not been.” – Percy Shelley
Awe fall, quite possibly the loveliest time of the year. Definitely a time worthy of a love letter. As the air grows colder, it seems to breath new life into everything that was growing tired from the hot summer sun. The colors that had faded turn vibrant shades of orange, red and yellow. The days grow shorter giving way to the sun to paint the sky with a gorgeous, golden glow.
While The Water Oasis is beautiful all year round, it shows off a little more in the fall. From late September to late December (yes, fall goes on that long), the landscape on the property varies greatly. From incredible fall foliage to frost covered branches, there is so much to take in around here. Below, is our love letter to the entire fall season at The Water Oasis.
Since the stone bridge is our most iconic spot on the property, it only seems fitting to start there. The trees really like to show off in all the areas surrounding the bridge making for an incredibly colorful backdrop.
Take a walk through the cabana to walk barefoot in the sand and enjoy more of what fall has to offer. Activity in the pond begins to slow down and the sand stays cool and damp later into the day.
When the early fall days are still hot, make your way across the sand to our smaller stone bridge beneath the shady grove. Even later into the year, there is still plenty of shade to relax under as you enjoy the serene waterfall.
Just outside of the shady grove sits our arbor. The perfect ceremony site or photo op. While the grass remains green, the rest of the landscaping changes with the season. The arbor and the surrounding area are at the front of our property and the perfect autumn welcome to you and your guests.
While the pavilion doesn’t change through the seasons, the view outside into the meadow does. It’s no secret that we think we have a pretty great view, but enjoying it with an autumn breeze in the air is something magical.
Don’t forget to take a break from dancing to catch that gorgeous dusky light and cloudy sky that only a fall evening can provide.
So that’s it. That, in a nutshell is fall at The Water Oasis. Are you in love yet? Ready to book your next event?
